Principal's Message
As we begin 2026. it is remarkable to reflect on the momentum and growth we are experiencing at Cobram Anglican Grammar School.

School years have a profound significance in shaping the trajectory of a young person’s life. At Cobram AGS, we continue to cherish the opportunity to guide students from the earliest days of Foundation through to the culmination of Year 12. Supporting this journey of personal, academic and spiritual growth remains one of the greatest strengths of being a Foundation to Year 12 school.
As an Anglican school, our philosophy of inclusion remains central to who we are. We proudly welcome students from all backgrounds and faith traditions, as well as families of no faith, fostering a community built on respect, compassion and belonging.
Our mission has always extended well beyond the transmission of knowledge. We are committed to creating a learning environment where students feel safe, supported and known. It is within this nurturing context that young people gain the confidence to grow academically, emotionally and socially — and to become the very best version of themselves.
Over the past year, our school has moved confidently into a new chapter. Our state-of-the-art Trades Centre is now fully operational and already transforming learning opportunities for our students. This outstanding facility has positioned Cobram AGS as a regional leader in Technology education. Equipped with industry-standard resources including robotics, CNC machinery, laser and water jet cutting technologies, and advanced fabrication spaces, the Centre is preparing our students to be genuinely job-ready and future-focused.
Importantly, this investment in facilities has been matched by growth in enrolments. Our school is on a strong upward trajectory, with a record number of students now enrolled. Headlining this growth are two classes at both Year 7 and Year 8 — a clear reflection of the confidence families are placing in our secondary program and the breadth of pathways now available.
Initiatives introduced over recent years — including our Sports Academy, the VCE Vocational Major and Project Ready work readiness program — are now firmly embedded within the life of the school. Together with our expanding academic, cultural and service opportunities, these programs ensure we can cater for students of all interests, abilities and career aspirations across our region.
There has never been a more exciting time to be part of the Cobram AGS community. Our growth is not simply measured in numbers, but in opportunity, ambition and vision for the future.
I warmly invite you to experience our school first-hand. Enrolment tours can be arranged throughout the school week, and I would be delighted to meet with you to discuss how Cobram AGS can support your child’s journey. Please feel free to contact me via email at principal@cags.vic.edu.a or phone the school office on (03) 5871 1816 to arrange a time to connect.
We look forward to welcoming you into our thriving and vibrant community.
Warm regards,
