Live4Life shines a beacon on rural mental health awareness
On June 3, our Year 8 cohort joined other schools from the Moira Shire in attending the launch of Live4Life at Cobram Civic Centre. Live4Life Moira was created in response to a reported increase in depression, anxiety, cyber bullying and self-harm from schools and agencies.
At this event, students were able to learn mental health lessons from several guest speakers, as well as participate in a range of fun activities such as making stress balls, giant Jenga and face painting.
Our students remarked that this event would help make them more aware of their own mental health moving forward, and it also enabled them to make new friends from the other schools in the district.
